What To Expect
Beginning counselling can feel daunting, especially if it’s your first time — and that’s completely okay. I’m here to make the process as welcoming, clear, and comfortable as possible.
We’ll start with an initial, informal chat where you can share a little about what’s bringing you to counselling. This is also a chance for you to ask questions, get a feel for how I work, and decide whether it feels like I am the right fit. There is no pressure to commit at this stage. If all goes well for you, regular sessions can be arranged.
If you decide to move forward, we’ll create a plan that will be tailored to your needs. You do not have to commit to a specific number of sessions. I offer brief and long-term therapy. Either way, I’ll work collaboratively with you to ensure the space feels safe, confidential and non-judgmental. And as my approach is client-led, you will determine what is aired and when you feel comfortable to do so.
